ABOUT CHEFOLIO

Keep the dish.
Change the scene.

Chefolio is an AI food photo editor for restaurants, cafés, bakeries, caterers and food trucks. Upload a photo from your own menu, pick a built-in style, and get an image for your menu, delivery listings or social posts. You don't write prompts. Chefolio is designed to leave the food alone and change what's around it.

Why we built Chefolio

I started a food truck in Austin in 2023. We sell birria tacos, plus a special that changes every week. The cooking was never the hard part. The photos were.

There was no budget for a photographer. It was my phone at the window, straight to Instagram. The parking lot and whatever was sitting on the counter were always part of the picture.

Editing apps fixed the color and left the background. AI image tools were worse because they made the food look better by changing it. One put avocado on a taco I've never served with avocado. You can't sell that.

So we built Chefolio around one rule: keep the dish, change the scene. It is designed to leave ingredients, portion, color, texture and garnish alone while working on everything around them. We kept prompts out of it too. You pick a style the way you'd pick a tablecloth.

We're new. The app went live in July 2026, and AI results can still vary. Put every image next to the real plate before you post it. If Chefolio changed your food, don't use the image. Send it to hi@chefolio.app.

How it works

Sign in with Google or Apple and upload a photo of your dish. A phone photo is fine. Pick a style, check the result against the real plate, add a dish name and price if you want, and export at 1080p, 2K or 4K.

Chefolio works in your browser at dash.chefolio.app and on iPhone. Sign in the same way on both and you'll have one account and one credit balance.

What Chefolio won't do

It won't design your whole menu. Chefolio makes images of single dishes, with an optional name and price.

AI results can vary, so compare every image with the dish you serve before publishing. DoorDash's photo guidelines say images must reflect the actual item served.

What it costs

Every new account starts with 50 free credits. An image costs 5 credits at 1080p, 7 at 2K or 10 at 4K. Credits work on web and app and never expire. Subscriptions start at $9.99 a month for 250 credits; one-time packs start at $4.99 for 100 credits. See the FAQ for current details.
